That's a very powerful shot has it been used somewhere else ? it evokes memories of somehting. regardless I like this.
Patrick Krolis: Thank you for your comment. As far as I know this is an original shot. I have posted it on a few places. So maybe you saw it on another website. We worked through a series of poses and locations on the ferry, actually to hastely because we wanted to "maximise" the use of the light that was particulary beautiful at the time of the shoot. This shot was my most memorable picture, after cropping out some noisy details of the original picture. I cropped to what was in my opinion a more powerfull composition. Because of the state of the ferry, (gaping holes in the floor) the distance to the model, and the limitations of the camera used, I couldn't zoom in close enough.
I like the artsyness of this shot, my kinda image.
Welcome to Shuttrtchance. looking forward to your images.

Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much for your welcoming words and your compliment. This being one of my first pictures posted on Shutterchance, I suddenly realize I have raised the bar for myself.
This is indeed a very good shot, but just one small point; please make sure you smooth out clothing creases on the skin (stomach area here) before you shoot. Otherwise great work. Regards, Neil.
Patrick Krolis: Thanks for your comment. I totally do agree with you. Actually I prefer my models not to wear any tight clothing when they come to the shoot. That way the skin has no marks like in this case. I decided to post the unretouched picture. I have a version where I corrected the clothing creases with Photoshop. But I thought that would not fit this picture.
Intentionally or not you've put a smiley ShMood on so I won't critique it. Does show a good eye for composition although I would have some comments.
Welcome to Shutterchance!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much for your comment. I am glad to state that I had unintentionally put that smiley ShMood on. So I corrected that. I am all ears and eyes for all kinds of comments.
To everyone who commented on my 2nd post here on Shutterchance, Thank you very much for the warm words of welcome. I hope you continue enjoying my work.
Patrick Krolis: That is too much of a compliment. Thank you very much. It might be the best work out of my portfolio Now I have nothing else to show Your Archive has a lot of extraordinary shots. I will comment more closely on your pictures as soon as I can go one by one through them.
i love the way the strands of hair hang from her left nipple.was it intentional? The pubic hair also works too. i wish i had more time to take great pics. By the way, welcome to shutterchance.
Patrick Krolis: Thanks for your welcoming words. No the strands of hair on the nipple was not intentional. Actually the model was standing on the other side of a big gaping hole in the old ferry.
PS. You are the only trini around here? I am quite often in Trinidad.
I am going thru your blog give u scores out of 10 for effort,Composition,Idea & Lighting... so for this one... 50/10
Patrick Krolis: hmmm, Layeni youre scoring definitely has something strange, dunno what it is Thank you very much for the compliment, I consider this my best shot ever, thanks for scoring me that high
Hi Patrick, always a pleasure to see a fellow country man and a friend promoting amazing work online. As usual a great composition, the softness of the light-shadow of her skin, perfect choice for the dept of field. Impressive work Patrick!
Patrick Krolis: Thank you very much Rafael!! I am glad you joined Shutterchance too. Now we can show the world even more beautiful things, people, places and Art from Suriname. Thank you very very much for the compliment, coming from you it is so very special.
This is my favorite shot in your collection! The contrast and the lighting is incredible!
Patrick Krolis: I think this is without doubt one of the best shots I ever produced, it is the standard against which I measure all my efforts these days trying to duplicate or even surpass it's success
